In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. The background is really not a choice, I'd prefer a transparent bg as well, it's just that every time I try to save a transparent gif in ImageReady I get strange stutters, and in some frames, stuff is half-visible or just plain disappears. I don't know what I'm doing wrong...
The idea with the widescreen bars is good, tho. I might do that!

I'm not very familiar with ImageReady, I'm afraid, but perhaps one of the ImageReady tutorials for animated emotes can help: [link] If there's nothing in there specifically, you might could comment on one of the tutorials asking for help with your exact problem. When in doubt, hit up the pros.
